Broken Pipe Repair

Broken pipe repair is a huge solution for a major plumbing problem to your home, business, property and belongings. If a burst pipe is not quickly addressed it can even affect your health by causing mold, mildew, and other growing bacteria.
Sounds & Smells that Indicate a Possible Broken Pipe
The need of broken pipe repair from a plumber is important if you notice any of the below symptoms.
- Whistling Noises: if a pipe gets dented before the spot where it bursts, it can create a small segment that water can’t get through which emits a whistling noise. Increased water pressure on bent pipes can cause the pipe to burst and cause even more damage.
- Banging or Clanking. If pipes that are loose bump into each other, a loud clanking noise will happen. Whether from loose washers or other worn parts, loose pipes can cause tension that can lead to holes or leaks.
- Bubbling Noises: If you use the sink or flush the toilet and you’ve got air that can’t escape, your will pick up the sound of bubbling noises. This can be a sign that you’ve got a broken pipe and it should be inspected.
- Sink Holes: If you’ve got unexpected wet or soggy areas in your hard or sink holes, you may have a main pipe that’s broken underground.
- Disgusting Odor: If sinks, drains, or any other part of your home have a very gross, pungent, and unpleasant odor, especially on the bottom floor, that may be a sign that you’ve got a broken or backed up pipe. The odor is a typical sign that your sewage isn’t being transported properly from the pipe to your municipal sewer lines.
- Damp Drywall: If you notice the drywall in your home is damp, or if you see wet rings on your ceiling, this is a definite sign that you’ve got a broken pipe or burst pipe.
- Puddles: Typically when you’ve got a broken pipe or burst pipe puddles form under the sinks or on the floors.

Other Signs of a Broken Pipe
- No Water: If you turn on your dishwasher, faucets, or laundry machine and have no water coming out or very low pressure, one of your pipes may be frozen or you may have a broken pipe underground.
- Continual Clogs: Whether you have a toilet that flushes slowly or a continual clogged drain, any issue that continues over time and is persistent is a sign that there’s a deeper underlying problem. Blockage and broken pipes are one reason these problems exist.
- Frequent Backups: If your dishwasher, laundry machine, basement drains, or other drains continually backup or you’ve got water stains that surround the drain when they’re not being used, this can be a sign that your sewage lines are blocked or broken.
- High Water Bill. A higher water bill than normal without more added activity like filling a pool or pond, is typically a sign of a broken pipe. Especially when accompanied by any of the other previous physical signs.
