Sometimes you can drain the water out of the tank and install air back into the tank with an air pump. Keep in mind that the air pressure in the tank must be 2 pounds less than the turn-on pressure of the pump.

What do I mean by this, is most of the pressure switches on the pump are set at 30 pounds on 50 pounds off.

So if the pump turn on pressure is 30 pounds then you would have 28 pounds in the tank because it is 2 pounds less than the turn-on pressure of the pump.

2.  If the deterioration of the tank is bad then by visual determination a decision can be made to purchase a new tank. A lot of times in my travels I have seen these little small bladder tanks for these great big houses in the Loxahatchee area.

A tank should be sized according to the number of bathrooms that are in the house.
